I agree.

I use TomTom on my Jailbroken 3GS and it's fantastic.

However, the car docking attachment is expensive at ?99 the last time I looked it up!

I'm happy with CoPilot, works well and is cheap. If you prefer not paying for your software TomTom would be my choice.

alright mate i have a jailbroken iphone and i have used every sat nat on the iphone for my job as a cabbie in glasgow. i need to tell you that the navigon sat nav is the best by a country mile then comes i go my way then the tom tom. the problem with tom tom is that they want you to buy their car cradle which enhances the gps sensitivity. if you dont buy it your iphone will work on the tom tom app but will continually lose the gps signal. hope this helps you.

does anyone know how to update the maps on TomTom..?

if you got it from itunes it will update the maps when they are available through itunes.
if you downloaded it via instalous or other means then you need to wait until a newer version is released through the itunes store and hope someone cracks it and puts it onto those third party sites.

tomtom, might have a go with cygic as that was stunning on Symbian. Tomtom is VERY slick on iphone, though the screen updates are NOT silky smooth (like they say?!)
