Hi guys!
I would like to hear some info about AVDI. I have it with BMW full and I'm pretty much satisfied with that.
I also have VVDI2, VVDI MB tool, VVDI prog. These tools cover a big portion of my needs regarding my key and immo jobs.
I'm aware that one tool can't solve all the problems and I would like to make some upgrades.
Can someone tell me what are some of the AVDI-s unique features that can't be done with VVDI tools? I'm interested in VAG group.
Thanks for info!

VVDI was originally a copy of AVDI but with less combined features, ie 1 button feature separated into couple.
I've both tools and non-MQB programming I always use AVDI - The auto system identifier and layout better.
But for MQB keys I use VVDI cos I can use Xhorse keys and give ID from lost key.
So both have their merits.

Thanks for the info! I have some basic VAG licences in AVDI and they are more comfortable to use in comparison to VVDI. I've made a lot MQBs including locked NECs with VVDI and never had a single problem. The only thing that I've never managed is to give ID from lost key. Can you explain me how to do it? It always fails to make it, and then I lose my patience and make normal...
Regarding AVDI, I'm interested in parts adaptation and component protection since VVDI is not so good with that. Can you tell me more about that?
I would like to buy something that's unique to AVDI and not piling up unnecessary licences for functions that can easily be done with VVDI and other cheaper tools... If you know what I mean.

To use ID from lost key you must use an xhorse key with a changeable ID which is also compatible with Megamos AES emulation like the new B5 Super Remote or their smart keys. The normal wireless remotes don't support this function. You also can't do it with a chinese Megamos AES blank.
Parts adaptation and CP unlocking you'd be better served with ODIS + Geko logins. The aftermarket reading and unlocking support is limited at best, and your VVDI can do immo data transfers etc to clone dashboards on TP2.0 platform cars if you so wish.
If you're just looking at VAG the support is better especially on older vehicles where VVDI have let that original copy software rot in the background so it has a lot of the older bugs still. On current stuff everyone is basically the same and playing leapfrog with each other on how to tackle MQB locked. At the moment every tool supplier is copying & altering things that the others are doing.

And what about VAGs ban on second hand immo parts like Cluster, BCM, ESL? I mainly use ODIS and online Geko for adaptation, but when it comes to immo parts, there is a problem.
