I know the V series are easy enough to decode now and everyone can see that codes from serial are readily available from members that are willing to provide them - just look at the number of answered code request posts. I was just wondering why the V series code from serial sticky is still at the top of this sub-forum. Is there something special about it that makes it different from asking for the code from serial for Renaults, Beckers, etc. etc. Nobody seems bothered about those requests. The question is, is it OK to ask for V series codes by serial or not. Can a mod give us a clue.

The locking mechanism uses data from the MCU as well as the EEPROM. 80 bytes @ 0x3FB0 in TMS and 64 bytes from eeprom @ 0x140 are needed to reset the timer (or just post both dumps). Myself / Fabi etc. will be able to sort it for you.

Hi guis wit some help from ALEXICS i manage to deal wit LOCKED problem in mi ford radio widowt nead of harware atak:)
Just power on radio,push and hold preset 4 button for 10 seconds and "code ---- " appear on the display

Now i need code i now that no code from serial for V series but i will tri ascing just like that:):):)

the former series, had locked dialing to 10,No dialing, but unfortunately for the new series, locked,tms470, 698 have a solution for the EEPROM,tms470, 288 series for the processor and will need to read eeprom,or the OBD socket, but I know that he,:giveup:
