Hello Friends,
I am the proud owner of a "new" 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo. I last owned a 1984 Porsche 928, so glad all Porsches are water cooled now! Previous owner of my 911 just had one key, so in addition to getting everything on the car up to my preferences, I need to get ready for the inevitable. It is not a matter of if, but when. Us Old Farts sometimes go swimming with their 2019 Chevy truck key in their swim suit. I don't recommend it. But it looks like this forum has lots of interesting specialties. I may venture off into any number of them, but the one I need right now is anything about programming transponder keys for Porsches. It can't be too complicated because from what I could see from the other side of the car as I waited for the locksmith to pair the valet key to the car, he kept turning the ignition on and off and on and off. I lost count. But the key he made will start the car, and not set off the alarm. It won't, however, lock and unlock the doors or front trunk remotely. That is information I am looking for. So let me finish here, and say I am glad to find what looks to be a very interesting combination of interest of the members. I look forward to having access to all the content with the submission of this introduction.
