Hi all!

First of all, sorry for my english.

I want to modify my ecu.
I need a complete walktrought, how to get started, what tools and software I need and how to do it.

Opel Astra H - 1.9 CDTI - DTJ engine 120hp 16v
ECU: EDC16c9 - Bosch nr. 0 281 012 123 Opel nr. -55 198 055

I have an Kess v2 chinese clone, but i can't reading the ecu via OBDII.

Any help would be appreciated!

Is there no way to do what I want with this tool (kess v2 prof), even on a bench?

if you want start play with ecu - prefer read ecu on bench with suitable tool or bdm
trust me - less issue after
kess not reading full on bench and not by bdm !!!

K-tag or MPPS would be good for this?

Thx,

I've never done this before, I'm a beginner. I don't want to disassemble the ecu if I don't have to.
Is the partial modification not enough in my case?
EGR, flaps, dpf off?
If I had the correct original file (stock file) that matched the hardware and software version and modified it, would it work?
