Hello
I have problem with edc16u1 Audi.
I readed ori, which have problem with can line. I bought spare one and readed int flash, ext flash and EEPROM from both. Then I flashed those 3 bin to donor, then read donor and compare bins with ori and everything is the same. With Ori car starts and with donor car dont start. Fans go full, seems a issue with immo or checksum
I read and flash with kt200

Is the same HW so, maybe swapping immo data would work

Please help

Maybe ktag will do the trick.

If you don't need clone, do replace. Leave data in donor ecu original. You need pin code from old EDC and from new" used EDC.

kt200 R/W perfect this ecu
user made somewhere mistake - that's all
edc16 in vag - no so easy ecu on the market ;)

with donor car dont start

The author of the topic will decide whether it makes sense or not, and whether he needs it. Not you

probably you never had in hands edc16u1 m8 !!!!
edc16u1 in vag - so easy to make clone etc
copy/paste is 100% working with that ecu
possibiltes :
1 - user mixed up dumps
2 - donor ecu bricked

With ori, car starts but engine does not run good. The ecu has issues with CAN, that's why I will try replacing ECU, wiring seems to be okay.
I will read ori again and reflash donor with kt200 and if it dont works I will open the ecu and flash with ktag. I will report if read from both tools are the same or not

Open both and read them in bdm, and transfer all the backup from the original to the used one.

I did that. Full backup option on ktag, ori ECU
Full restore ktag donor ECU.

Ori can start engine and donor does not start the engine. Readout from both is the same, files from KT200 and Ktag are 1:1

I guess that I will buy other ECU as with this one there is no issue reading/writing but the car don't start and I have no communication with diag tool. Even with immo off eep flashed with ktag and kt200
Conclusion = Donor ECU is defective

Thanks!!
