2004 Audi S4 RB4 dead dash?

Hello guys and gals,

I have a 2004 Audi s4 with RB4 dash. The dash itself shorted out internally and does not power on even on bench. I have a donor dash with same part number. My question is this. Is it possible to just remove 24c08 from original dash and read the eeprom? Transfer eeprom data to donor dash? I know dash is encrypted.

I'm used to transferring data from one dash to the other when they power up. First time I have issue where dash is cooked good.lol.

Thanks I was able to read 24c08 from this burned dash. Then transfered data to donor dash. Donor dash now has all data from original looks to be working at intended.
