In*o off megane dti 0 281 001 810

I have another similar post, but no solution so I open this so it is most clear: This are data.

0 281 001 810 megane dti 1998 have inside 24c02.

I have make FFF the 20,30,40 line and then cut line 59 from inmo, also I cut with a Knife the trace of pin 7 and join to pin8, but still dont work. I have been looking for and otocheck, has not this ecu, but if you sear in edc15 models it says must change eeprom with a new 24c16????

Here all people says to change original memory Fairchild with a new one 24c02 because of the wp, but the 24c16 no one mention it??? Has anyone used it??

Could be these because car wont start??? Really must use 24c16????

Yes sure is in*o fault, in ecu is no fault but it says in*o on, this is because the car has a uch from other car, same reference but other one. Owner wants the car start forever with any key, or uch.........in this year he has several problems with it and want to delete ot forever.

I post the ori file, only thing I do to delete in*o is to make FFFFF the 20, 30, 40 lines and then programm in new 24c02 but not works.

Have you seen otocheck says I must use 24c16???

Have you Knowledges to say me if my dump is ok???In*o info is in this dump?

Yes it seems to have wp, but it is 24c02 not 24c16 as it recomends otocheck.

Even I thinked I have read the non correct eeprom, but if you say is correct..........

The smd I am using is a 24c02 picked from an old ram memory of a pc, I cannot use the original one because is fairchild an has no wp.

So mine with 24c02 should work also, I will repeat process and post, very thanks for your help.

Yes should work, what is make of new chip eg: part number need to read pdf on it to make sure WP posable that you have to set in programmer soft or is pin 7, 5+ volts to make write protect

I am using exactly ATMEL 839 24C02N SC27 B, this is all the nomenclature.

Yes i can see so FF line 20 30 40 WP on pin 7 so lift it and connect to 8

yes i do did you lift pin 7 ? u need to make 5+ volt to this pin, you get the 5+v feed from vcc pin 8 to make it wp hope you get it sorted

I know this is an old thread but kevfield's method definately works on the 0 281 001 810 Bosch ECU (Renault Megane 1.9 DTI 1998). I used a 24C08 with write protect and replicated my 24C02 data four times to fit the 24C08 to be sure. I had a warning lamp appear (as well as the IMMO flashing LED) but these went out when I removed them from the dash :D
