Soldering tips

Hi

I would like to know what tips do you use for soldering irons.

Is there some soldering tips that you have used and would recommend?
I have been using a few from bought here and there but they do not last long. After 30 to 50 solder with a new soldering tip they are good for the bin.

I have heard people using tips for more than six months daily and are still working fine.

Where do you buy yours? What make would you recommend for the normal tips without heater element included.

use weller tips but of course you need a weller station, i work between 380 to 430 degrees every single day and my tips last for 6 months, also use tippy tip cleaner if there are blac/gray spots on tip

I bought an LF1700 Xytronic 150 euro 100W super works ,I still have a 68-3C is 15 years old and still works

I bought some tip tinner a long time back but thought it would not be of great use. I was pleasantly surprised using the tip tinner. Ended up coating the tip very nicely and the tip works again

I use a Weller WD1 with an WP80 pen with about 8 different tips, plus the 50w hot tweezers. Also use an Aixun T3A with 4 different 200w tips. As for a de-soldering gun I’ve got the one from Hakko. And also use tip tinner, flux, different solders including low melt etc. Hot air also from Weller. A digital microscope from Andonstar on a 32” monitor. That gets all my jobs done ranging from PCB repair, connector repair, IC swaps and problematic soldering with large heat sinks.

I use for soldering ST 50D from toolcraft, hot air gordach 820 for 10 years, but the accessories are important...
flux, cleaning sponge, tip restoration paste, but the important thing is, Setting the temperature!!!!

Best solder wire is Sn60Pb40 type, solder wire with flux.
