Hi Guys

I've been surfing around looking for the best box about, this seems to be a decent bit of kit (providing its not fake)
I'm a newbie to Sat, can anyone tell me what exactly I can pick up and what subscription I need to watch Footy.
Many thanks guys

a dreambox is a good box but it is a lot harder to setup as pc skills and ftp are involved ,do plenty of reading first as there are plenty of threads in sat section to read.

You can pick the same channels up on a DM800 that you can on any DM. Except the 800 picks uo HD channels

The dreambox 800hd is a very good box I have an original myself. The dreambox will not open much at all without connecting the box to some type of server, either way it will cost you. If you want a box that will give you many channels without further expence then look towards the proteks sd/hd models or the spiderbox's. These box's come with connection to a server within the price. The spiderbox only lasts a year though.

When buying DM800HD should I go for a cloned box (I went for a cloned box when I bought DM500S) or should I go for a genuine box? how can you tell if the box is jenuine? Will the genuine box accpet the images here in the download section?

Thanks

its the clones that have problems with certain images and not the genuine, as far as i know!

I know this is the Dreambox forum but you should look at the VU+ Duo.

If your going to buy an original 800 very similar priced

I would get a TM800HD, but the instability of the TM600 and 500 when they first came out would put me off for a while till all issues are sorted.

Only issue I see is the support on the VU boxes, from what I read they are not as open source as Dreambox and they won't accept Dreambox images. Please correct me if i am wrong, I don't the price and if they are under ?200.

The support for these boxes is very good. Also afaik there is a way to have 8000 images on it

If you can put the way to have 8000 images on them in the download section or any tutorial section that will be great.

Apparently you load them via barry allen but still a tad buggy from what I've heard.

Im waiting 2 mths for my box so far due to a shortage of the chips they use on the Vu+ Duo. (Same as 8000)
