I'm attempting to retrieve data from an MSOP-8 Mini IC on an Acura board using DIGIPROG3 via EEPROM. I've included pictures to confirm it's the correct IC responsible for storing mileage information.

The IC in question is labeled A86D-431. After researching on various forums, some individuals suggest it might be a 93C86, but I couldn't locate that specific IC on my board.

Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:acne:

A86d = 93c86 x16 bits

A86d = 93c86 x16 bits

So are they the same? I'm still trying to find out what the difference is between the two?

the Didgprog3 does not have the option to read a A86D EEPROM, so not sure if i need to use another tool?

Just use 93c86 option.

Just use 93c86 option.

The digiprog3 has two options... 93C86_8 and 93C86, which one is the correct one to read A86D?

I tried that option. I get this error message. FYI im using a Digiprog 3 with an MSOP8 POGO adapter/with Guide Cap to read the chip in circuit.

It is NOT convenient to read in circuit with digi prog3 since it reads at 5volt and it is very likely that you will corrupt the dump, remove the eeprom. unite the glass legs
