With any KESSY/MQB system you must always program KESSY/keyless keys, then remote keys, then keys without remote. If you attempt to program a key without proper KESSY or remote function before a key which should work, like an aftermarket key you are experimenting with all further keys will have no KESSY or remote function. If you follow this procedure you can have both KESSY/keyless and non keyless keys starting a car and the keyless key will work as normal but the non keyless will only work at the aerial. It seems once a VAG vehicle does not see the keyless/remote function at the ignition lock/aerial it will cease attempting to program the extended data to further keys.
Anyway this doesn't really help us find an aftermarket solution for the Korean market vehicles but will probably assist in making a spare emergency key should that be required. Just program the working key first.
