Hello looking for advice I have got a airbag module, Audi A1 module number is 2Q0959655AK with crash data im hearing it is possibly encrypted, then some sites are saying its in eeprom 95128, Also couple of the sites are telling me it done in 2 steps "clear eeprom then upload it on the car, after that we will send you the second file. No need to read MCU (R7F7), only eeprom.

Im confused at this moment with this module on what todo, I have pulled the data from eeprom and added it. Im using vvdi prog.

crashdata is in eeprom 95128 but crash counters are in the R7F processor locked, cannot be read.

Will it be useable again with just clearing crash data in the eeprom.

Yes ECU can be used again, it will just show crash counters in live data on diagnostics machine

Well I have another issue, I use a few sites for doing crash data on the awkward modules. There claiming this file doesnt have any crash data in there.

What errors are you getting from your scan tool? These modules are usually cleared using just a scan tool.

Not sure, module go sent to me and I was asked to clear crash data, i've used someone that claims they can do it for the file just wait and see how it goes once they connect it up hopefully its all good. I no quite few modules that can be cleared via obd and they still send them to me.

I get people send me this module because crash data inside steering rack, shuts power steering down, but its nothing to do with the airbag ECU.

Goodluck anyway!
