hey guy's,
this is one heck of a forum.a lot of knowledgable people here.so here's my question.i have been using a chinese clone gt-1,and once every year it goes dead.i have bmw dis and sss software.is there another more reliable option(interface)that will replace the gt-1,but still work with the dis and sss software?or do i need to stock pile these units up.
i would apreciate everyones suggestions.
thanks

I have run DIS with a number of interfaces - non of which are a Chinese clone of a GT1 dk (yellowhead). Depending on the model of your BMW, DIS can be run with an ADS/OBD switchable interface, such as the FISTER/bmwecu.org unit or do-it-auto ADS/OBD interface, modfied VAGCOM KKL or even a Carsoft interface. You will find lots more information here Diagnostic Software - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=30&f=233) .
