can i jailbreak 3gs 3.1.3(7e18) mc model

hi i have a iphone 3gs and need to unlock it ive been told if i jailbreak it 1st i then can unlock it i read somewhere that if its a mc model it cant be done is this true pls help

You cant unlock it at the mo mate.theres supposed to be a new jailbreak coming soon which will allow you to do it so just hold on for now
