Best and easy way to update ECU/TCU for VAG and other brand

Hi, what is the best easy/low price tool to update ECU and TCU to newer revision software?

Wich one for VAG, BMW and other brand....

For VAG you can use odis engineering with a j2534 interface or the VAS interface. you’ll have to download the frf files database somewhere.

for bmw you can use Ista and ESIS software with enet cable. Just not sure about the update files.
I use autel for bmw but doesn’t always work 100%. If it goes wrong with autel have to correct it with esis.

Ok, I also have Autel but need to pay subscription, it is too high I have the ms908s pro but they want 1000 euros + vat for annual subscription…
