The old one is 418750000, being the download frequency for VM in Eire. I expect the new one will also start with 4?

As Satman has posted they are the 13 TPs you require. If you are looking for the Net ID it is 42753, 291000 is the home frequency, 6887 is the SR.

What box does your friend have?

Thanks guys,

Its for a CM (NTL250) and not a TV box in this case.

Sorry guys, I had my vague_as_it_gets hat on when I posted, I should have asked specifically for this.

From a subbed modem i got this.

Cable Modem Downstream
Downstream Lock : Locked
Downstream Channel Id : 3
Downstream Frequency : 426250000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : QAM256
Downstream Symbol Rate : 6952 Ksym/sec
Downstream Interleave Depth : taps12Increment17
Downstream Receive Power Level : 6.3 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 38.1 dB

Cable Modem Upstream
Upstream Lock : Locked
Upstream Channel ID : 2
Upstream Frequency : 22800000 Hz
Upstream Modulation : QPSK
Upstream Symbol Rate : 2560 Ksym/sec
Upstream transmit Power Level : 54.0 dBmV
Upstream Mini-Slot Size : 2

Cable Modem Operation Configuration
Network Access : Allowed
Maximum Downstream Data Rate : 6144000
Maximum Upstream Data Rate : 295000
Maximum Upstream Channel Burst : 3044
Maximum Number of CPEs : 3
Modem Capability : Concatenation Enabled, Fragametation Enabled, PHS Disabled

So from this it seems frequency on subbed modem is 426250000
I found also 452000000 from scanning.

But so far i havent been able to clone a modem, it locks on to those frequency for downstream but upstream keeps ranging and never locks.

Maybe im doing something wrong.
Cant seem to get the hacked modem to use QPSK upstream modulation, it always wants to use QAM64 which is wrong.

If you do get it working please list what settings you use, like annex_a etc..

Finally figured it out and got it working!

Settings for NTL Dublin:
Frequency: 452000000
TFTP IP: 89.101.160.36
TFTP filename: cm_ultra.bin
annex: annex_b
cm_annex: 3

If your modem locks on downstream but not upstream, try another mac.

I used ambit config tool from this site to config my modem.
Here is the screenshot of configs exactly:

How do you download what?

Forgive me for saying but you may find you will fare better if you introduce yourself and be a little courteous. The regulars here (and I don't presume that status for myself) are very helpful people but they may not answer if you just leap in....
