Hi Chaps
Its that damn Nagra3 encryption that VM have rolled out everywhere, it seems like it could be the end unless it can be cracked.

Hi,
I'm having the similar sort of problems as above, however still get some channels (incl movies) I've tried everything suggested except downloading the software update 1.12, do you think this will rectify the problem or am i wasting my time due to Nag3?
Thanks in advance (I'm in Liverpool by the way)

Hi, i had a similar issue where i lost 2-3 channels, got tempted to reset and reload firmware and in the process losing everything. On advice frm "Larryoke" I did autoscan with other providers and it worked with "OM". I had done it last time with NTL few mnts back. Why does changing a provider helpl even though the i/p signal is frm VM, i.e. NTL??

frequency of channels changes and some areas have changed
providers,so if you dont find channels on one provider try another.

You will probably find that you were not a pure N*L area.

I found that if I downgraded my SV4 to firmware 1.07 and then re-flashed with 1.12, it ran a lot smoother and allowed me to scan faster... might be me tho, first time with a starview.

i lost all channel on the box over the weekend. Im in preston, lancs area which as far as i kno doesnt have the new cards yet so aint n3 is i write this. I just factory reset my box and did a MANUAL scan, put in the lowest frequency i know they transmit on ie 103,000 and set network scan or provider scan, i forget what i say exactly, to ENABLE and hey presto(n)!
