originally it was laid by bodgit and scarper, there 106 slabs only 16 inch ones tho, the problem is they have been laid on top soil ( which is ok as long as u use the right membrane underneath u will see this in the vid its white ) the slabs are up and down like a whores draws lol , back falling towards the bungalow and right up to the bungalow, ( which i shouldnt be there should be a 4 inch border next to the wall to aid drainage ) also laid on 6 layers of polythene, so the water takes ages to get away so we where getting a damp smell every time we opened the patio doors. the proper membrane u use underneath it is called terem ( which me owl mucker xant gave me along with a dozen of his chicken eggs :D i met xant at his house, first person ive met off the net, hes a sound bloke ) anyway i could lay this patio in half a day if it was from scratch, prob is ive got to take 3-4 runs up clean the concrete off them, set up the screed rails, then off to builders for washed sand and cement unload it, mix it and lay em, will take me bout 3 days if the mrs dont want to go some where :( there also a fence to go up at the end. theres also a half slab to go on the edge

I had mine layed by someone called West... Fredrico if i remember, said he was a Spaniard but i could tell the dirty sanchez moustache was a stick on.
Did a great job initialy, it was nice and level, the only problem is the drainage sucks and on hot days i keep getting a rancid smell like a dumpster full of mackarel... He told me a sewer main runs underneath and said this may be a problem but should go away after it settles for a few months.
The strange part was he insisted in working in darkness, said he had a day job and patios where only his thing on the side...
Now though the patio has began to subside and there are parts where it slumps about a foot in the middle of these odd 6' by 4' patches... dunno what thats all about.
Not been able to get hold of the builder to inquire, he could have been jailed for all i know.
So aside from the suspicious dimples and the reek when its really hot its been a great job :roflmao:
