R4iv1.4 Gold card For The DSi XL Problems

I hope some one can help me please, I have just bought the new R4iV1.4for the DSi XL .I have been to the gold site and downloaded the R4i English version V1.32b, I have loaded every thing on to my micro card put it in the ds and it doesn?t come up on the menu at the bottom of the screen no R4 card showing.
When I put my old R4i-SDHC card that I used in my Dsi light that I traded in for the XL version, it shows up in the menu at the bottom of the screen and when I press i it comes up with an error message.
Can any one please help, please.

What firmware version is the ds running only works on the 1.4

Also what I know you should see it as a game on the start menu, when you start this it opens the menus

I have finally managed to get it to work , it doesn?t come up with the R4 logo, it comes up with a star wars game that you click on and it then takes you to the R4 menu. What you have to do is put these I think 4 files plus a file named games; you don?t put any games in the folder until you run the software first. The file you use is the R4i English V1.32b.

the problem i have got is the r4i is saying no game card in slot has anyone any ideas, the r4i card is a gold one.
