Land Rover Discovery Radio Question

Hi, just found the site and was hoping for a little advise and help. I have a 2003 Land Rover ES with an Alpine radio cassette and cd changer. The radio is dead and I have sourced a replacement from a local scrappy, however, it does not have a code, my question is before I take the plunge and buy it will I be able to get a code to install in my motor? If so what information will I need?

Hi, right pain to strip, to get to chip to read out the code, if you can't do that, take it to your local decoded, I charge ?25.00 for these, so bear that in mind when purchasing.

They want ?45 do you think that's a little steep?
