View Full Version : StarView 5 Problems (Not N3 - I think!)

Hi all,
I'm in Hamilton (ex TW - Uddingston area) and after many years of nagging the wife managed to convince her it was time to get a "box". Then I come on here and find out that N3 is coming - AGHHHHHH! Another sucker taken in... oh well! :stupid:
Anyway, we still have a bit of time from what I've read N3 hasn't hit here yet, and now we have a StarView 5 USB II box. I have installed the firmware 2.05 and 2.03 but have been having the same issue with both: Beeb 1 -> C5 all work OK but AFAIK all the other channels show up just a black screen. The infobar and EPG show the program info but nothing else.
Yesterday we did manage to get MTV for a while but it kept freezing so I rescanned and lost everything.
Is there something I am doing wrong?
I'm not a complete n00b and I do, roughly speaking, know hat I am doing - I've been re-flashing friends and family members EuroVox boxes for a few years, but they were out of stock and this was recommended instead.
Thanks,

This (as one of the comments says) indicates that it is 2.03 I am downloading, but the filename that is downloaded is 2.05.
I'm confused! :s:
Hope you can help!

Hello Dessertdog. Running SV2.03 dated Sep 23 2009 in S Wales. Have lost a few random channels ITV, C4, SkyPrem/+1, SkySportNews over last month. Do you think todays new uploaded ver will recover them or not?

I cant see a version thats been uploaded on 26th unless you mean the one i re up-ed if it is that one then NO its not a new version but it is the most stable one and i would recommend all SV5 users to use that version stay clear of v2.05
