Hi everybody,

I hope that my post is inb the right section, apologies if not.

I have a customer with a VW Caddy, non-working turbocharger actuator.

Car is pretty much inoperable, as can't drive any faster than 60-70km/h

Fault traced back to the ECU which is not giving any power to the motorized actuator.

Customer got a junkyard ECU, plugged it in and we managed to make the actuator work with scan tool.

Car won't start because of VIN discrepancy

Need Junkyard ECU's PIN code in order to re-write VIN with Scan tool --> VW dealer will not help.

Galetto 435 Available --> Simos 10 is not present in FGTech's documentation

I know it is feasible, have seen EEPROM dumps here and there on different forums

Any help ? I would be your forever's best friend ever !

Thanks for reading

for simos you need to do more then just clone, you need to addapt immo data in donor ecu with ori ecu data

Hi,

Thank you ! I understood that from other discussions, but unfortunately I'm still at the step of "how the hell am I going to get the EEPROM data"
Last resort I could do with only the PIN code read, but ideally adapting immo data.

I have found these instructions : https://ecu.design/ecu-pinout/pinout-siemens-simos10-xx-irom-tc1767-vag/ which seem to apply to a different ECU programmer, but I want to give a try with the Galletto (maybe adding 1kOhm resistors on the 3 boot lines for extra safety ?) Unless you think it's a bad idea and I'm at risk of frying the ECU ?

my advice is pay someone with ori tools to do it for you, if you f_ck it up and make a short, you have nothing anymore...
