Hello, could someone tell me if immo off was done correctly? I used ImmoKiller and then compared files it only changes the byte at location 0x65 from 0xF3 to 0x60 but car is still giving symptoms of bad immo despites no flashing light in dashboard. Sadly couldnt connect diagnostics to it to see errors as that is failing but will see to fix it if nothing else works.

Also fun fact I used CH341 cheapo programmer with AsProgrammer v2.1.0.13. It read eeprom correctly but has trouble writing to it meanwhile used random program from wikihow(https://www.instructables.com/CH341A-Programmer/) and it worked like a charm. Didnt need to desolder chip. It was a treat to use though because for some reason the program was in chinese for me and didnt see any way to change language so had to rely on comparing button locations from english version screenshots to actual program.

Well okay it worked, thank you!

Maybe for someone wondering in future, this block went into a Caddy (engine code AYQ) but the original part number was 038 906 013 E which had died from water damage because smartasses at volkswagen back then. The block I bought was from a 50 kW Golf IV SDI as it was a lot cheaper than buying ECU with the exact part number. It works fine as it seems given I got this car running only as a winter beater anyways haha
