SMOKE MAP AT CERTAIN RPM
Hello, I have GOLF IV 1.9 TDI AXR 101PS -> 120PS. (you can read about my map in my another thread)
I've wanted to make my car puff a big smoke at certain RPM without touching FUEL, BOOST or TORQUE LIMITER values because the remap that I made was perfect for me.
I was restricted by Torque Limiter because, if you want to make Big Smoke you have to raise Driver Wish, Smoke Limiter and TQ Limiter. I didn't want to touch Torque because if I made it 60MG it would raise the power drastically.
Spent couple hours thinking about this, then I suddenly remebered that N75 MAP EXISTS! https://www.ecuconnections.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
I've made some changes that make my engine:
1. Stop giving boost to cylinders above 3990RPM (N75 Duty Cycle to 100% lets all of the boost to the atmosphere) - By this modification engine doesn't get boost and we can MAXIMIZE our torque limiter, so it doesn't get unexpected power kick.
2. Made Torque Limiter 60MG (MAX) above 4000RPM - It lets injectors to give as much fuel as they can.
3. Made Smoke Map - AFR ~16.5 above 4000RPM - I calculated that without boost it will be capable to make MAX 500mg/stroke Air, but i changed values for whole RPM X-axis column (you never know lol)
Conclusions:
- I didn't have to make any changes with Torque Limiter or Boost in my common range of usage (0-4000RPM). It have 120HP as I wanted it to be.
- It loses power after 4000RPM, but will make a lot of smoke (and signal to shift https://www.ecuconnections.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif ).
;Firstly I wanted to make it smoke also in power RPM ranges (like 3500-4000), but it would require advanced calculating and some bigger knowledge (which I don't posses at the moment )
And here is the question - will it work? Won't have any consequencess for engine to instantly let all of the boost from cylinders?
Below I link maps which I edited, and map to load into editor. Let me know what needs adjustment, every opinion will be thanked and repped https://www.ecuconnections.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
I couldn't attach files again, sorry. - https://mega.nz/folder/WVxjnayL#tX2pbwfIWICsFmyPH1Aq-w
