AK400 IR PROGRAMMING MB w210 HELP

1) I desolder cpu 1, and cpu 2 from EIS for w210.
2) I select chip as 1D69J(x32) from AK400 software.
i click READ EEPROM and I saved EIS 1.bin for first cpu and repeat process for cpu2 and savefile EIS 2.bin
3) To read ESL chip. I select read ESL- K(6) from AK400 software.
I turn the switch the on ESL cable of AK400 for w210 to left (cpu 1), i click READ EEPROM. I saved file as ESL 1.bin
4) I turn the switch the on ESL cable to right for 210 to left (cpu 2), click READ EEPROM. I saved file as ESL 2.bin
5) I click on IR -Prog calculator on AK400 software. I select EIS w210 and load the first file EIS 1.bin, left ECU column blank, load ESL 1.bin
6). Select keys 5/6/7/8 and click IR Process. It generate new files EIS 1.binw.bin, key5.bin, key6.bin,key7.bin, key8.bin
7) i load EIS 2.bin, left ECU column blank, load ESL 2.bin
8) select on key numbers 5,6,7,8.
9) click PROCESS IR. it generated files EIS 2.BINW.BIN, ESL 2.BINW.BIN, KEYS6.BIN,KEYS7.BIN,KEYS8.BIN.
10)I put back first EIS 1d69j chip (1) in 705 socket of AK400, and select LOAD BIN FILE. I load the new generated file EIS 1.BINW.BIN and select select 1d69J (x32) from ak400 and write. It write 100 percent and verify and write OK message. I repeat for chip 2 same process.
11) i switch to position left for chip 1 on ESL cable for ak400, I select RENEW ESL(K) from the software. It make noise at ESL. and show write OK.
12) I switch to position right on the ESL cable for AK400 and click RENEW ESL (K) again and it write OK.
13) Now I select LOAD BIN FILE. I load new file generated by ir calculator ESL 1.BINW.BIN I select ESL-K (6). I click on WRITE EEPROM. It write OK.
14)I turn to position right for Cpu 2 on ESL cable. I load file ESL 2.BINW.BIN and select WRITE EEPROM and it write OK.
15) IR key is new and blank no need to reset nec.

**QUESTIONS PLS HELP**
QUESTION A

AK400 IR software did not show me Key number used, or blocked

Now question is which key number file do i write to IR key. I have key file key5.bin, key6.bin, key7.bin, key8.bin

suppose i select key number 5 and write key6.bin to IR key.
After write to IR key, do I need to active ECU ?(4E28B) or i just go to car and it can start car.

I do not want to appear foolish before my client. This is first time using AK400. I need help.

I opened ECU of W210 and searched carefully all the serial eeproms. I did not see any eeprom with any number like 95P08, 95080, 95320,95160. Does it mean w210 ECU not need to read from ECU dump to generate key. so I left colum for ECU blank on IR prog calculator and generate key files 5,6,7,8 bin.

Please study process i took.

Hello mates,
I have successfully read and write Big Old Key with AK400. I want to share with you How I did It:
On the picture is the wiring which is not from the key but the same wiring with the same lift pins worked for me!
You have to put the connector for in-circuit programming in the ESL/0F82B/4E28B socet of AK400.
There are keys with 0F82B and 0G72G masks...look for yours and choose it from Select IC.

Hello friends, I just make a picture "find the differences" comparing AK400 manual and R260S manual.
So it seems that AK picture for 1L85D is a copy of R260 manual. The colors of the cables for AK and R260 are different and because of that they don't pass on the AK pic and AK cable.
So don't look at the colors, just connect the wires like it is shown in the AK400 pic - #9 #1 #0 #7 and #8.

Thank You friend for quick answer! I have connectid by the numbers but my AK400 crazy - they or restart or stop work. My connector: 1 - braun, 2 - red, 3- orange, 4-yelow, 5-green, 6-blu, 7-purple, 8-grey, 9-white, 0- black (see attach number). If I connectid by the colors - AK400 start read and after 30 sec stop read and answer: I dont read. But during this process AK400 dont restart or dont stop work. Pls test my number - are your the same? You real read this MCU?

I thing the lift are the same as the used pins are the same. I didn't tried it with xprog but my ak400 done it.

if you have ak400 u can read the old key by finding old esl and put the motorla for the key instead of one of the two so you can read and write
and you can use any adapter that what i did and if u need more detail i can help

Thank you for answer. I done key writing in 0F82B which is in key (not via Ir, becouse it seems not to work). You said that i need to modify ECU like EIS and ESL, but in AK400 manual is saying that "for W210 /W202 /W208/ OLD W220 All type under year 2000 need
only to modify (EIS and ESL for 210) and (EIS and ESM for W220)" and my model iz W210. So do i have to modify ECU too? First procedure i have done right, as you said. Thank you all. I am currently traying without ECU modified and i will post my results as soon as i finish. Thank you all! P.S. Sorry if i made mistakes in my language.

I didn't succed! ECU in MB w210 is 24C02, but in AK400 there is option for renewing CDI 24C02 and i even tried whith loading dump (which i saved from ECU 24C02) in AK400 -> CDI 24C02 renew and got an error. All procedure is done right without ECU, but still nothing. Any suggestion?

I have DUMPS from EIS(2 chips), ESL(2 chips) and BIG OLD KEY (with motorola inside). I need new DUMPS with new keys so i can start the car. I tried dumps generated from codemaster tool (which comes in AK400 software) and those dumps do not work. I want to code two new keys. One is BIG OLD KEY(with motorola) and second is SMALL CHROME (with NEC). Can someone post dumps for these two keys and EIS and ESL. Thank you vey much!

Big idea to have in one instrument all tools, but in the fact that don't work. I have ask more 10 people, newer that tools work perfect. Really CNOBD2 !!


I think, the problem of AK400 are:

1. Design (HW and SW)
2. Testing
3. Quality {some time the supplier is copy of copy of copy}

Point 2 are very big problem, some time the product is shipp without testing.

I have one idea to coming to repair that instrument. So everyone can help about the problem and starting to repair.

For example in my case I have open and see the antena of BMW disconnect, now it work. But the IR read don't work. The LED infrared of transmit work the inductance work (125kHz), but the instrument don't read the key, maybe is recevier led (colored).....

I am hope to view your opinion about the repairing that instrument.

I have AK400 and XProg-m FULL...
For my AK400 here is what is working and what NO:
- HC05: read write on board soccet no problem OK
- HC05E6 0F28B: BIG OLD KEY working In-Circuit (can make new big old key for cars)
- HC08, HC11 and 9(S)12: NOT tested (I use Xprog for those)
- ESL-K: W210 read,write and renew, W211 only read, can't renew
- NEC programmer: read OK but not the hole eeprom of NEC (only first two lines); write - NO; renew - OK (2-3 min)
- IR-prog: testing key - OK; writing key - big old NO, chrome - not tested, Small Black - OK after renew with NEC programmer - tested 100%
- Gambit Transponder Programmer - readning and writing 30 and 35 OK, other chips not tested

I know AK400 is not so good but for me there are enought functions working.....of course it is better to BUY all the programmers integrated in AK400 separately...I'm little regret that I didn't do that when wondered what to get.

12-15 volt,all china tool same

Oh gutted I tried another 12 v it powers up and does certain things but not read ESL via k line I hoped this might be the cause.

Solder again every metalization and every chip + smd elements inside and will work better. Also i change my max232 with max3232 (this rs232 buffer) it is more stable for pick voltage.

Ak 400 reads and writes w211 esl plus old big key!!

just need a bit fantazy.. :)

for old big key used gigabyte wiring
just FOR PIN1 USE #4 (NOT#3)

when i need to renew w211 esl just put this chip on big old key board and read/write what i need...

no, friend, you can use the ak400 get the data of key and EIS, ECU,ESL,ESM. And then write key data to NEC via IR.

just to jump on this 1 , if AK400 is no good , what is my best option for making mercedes keys .
i only want mainly for newer sprinters and vitos but i am very unsure what is best to buy to make these keys.
please advise as im very unsure about this.
