Hi all,
I've been using DM500 for few years and i'm fully comfortable in supporting it (flashing, editing services, etc).
I just purchased DM800HD clone which has the below info:
Gemini 4.6
Kernel 2.6.12-5.1-brcmstb-dm800
Bootloader 75
I feel bit lost here cuz I've been reading some posts warning us about imaging, and some others talking about SIM card.
All I need to know is the basics for DM800HD image flashing please. No detailed step by step guides. Just guidlines on what to do and what to avoid.
The clone I purchased is to play around and get used to the product. I'm planning to buy 5 more for the family and I will be supporting them. I don't need any troubles.
Thanks in advanced.

yeah it is already setup.. i was just wondering if i can use other images (like gemini 4.7 or even gemini 5.0).. just need to know if it is straight forward thing like DM500,, or there r precaustions need to be considered first.

here is link to Nabilo 12 ssl 75 , reportedly working dvb subtitles , read that 72 dont support subs , only working on 75 , so here you go
RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting (http://rapidshare.com/files/378411772/SIM201e-75-NabiloBlackHole_DM800_012.rar.html)
only other advice is research your images before loading , forum i use is the chinese sellers support forum www.8a8f8.com (http://www.8a8f8.com) , lots of info and links there ,
btw , any issues with the tuner glitching on HD channels , presume it will be rev l3 tuner in your box , can you confirm it is glitch free ?

The tuner installed is the original one (as per the manufacturer in China).. i only received the box today by DHL and i just started working on it for the past few hours.
i've been watching JSC Sport HD (which i guess rev 3) with no glitching so far
thank u for the site.. im going through it.. also for the image. i will load it into my box in while.. but plz tell me how can i make NFI backup of my box first?

I have tried that, and when telneting to run the backup utility, it returns errors in German.
Is there any guide to show how to make NFI image for DM800?
