hope someone knows about mobile broadband here lol.

I now work away from home, hence not being online as much as i used to be, but got sick of council tele so i decided to get mobile broadband so i could go on the net whilst away.

i opted for vodafone with it being advertised as the fastest and say they have the best mobile signal, however where i am it can find a 3g network just GPRS which is soo slow, it did find one when i was at home and was imressed with the speeds.

now i already have a mobile phone on 3 and i can get HDSPKA or what ever you call it and 3g on my mobile, so i was wandering is the broadband the same signals as mobile phones and if so could i get a 3 sim card and use it in my vodafone dongle to save buying another??

I think you'll likely find that your Vodafone broadband Dongle will be locked to Vodafone not definte on that but it'll be very likely imo :hmmmm:

You can try using a Usb cable linked between your 3 phone to computer and run your internet through your phone to get mobile broadband that way
...I do have a 3 Broadband Dongle but ive used various Nokia and Sony phones in past to get Broadband from my phone, You will get charged loads for data usage if you dont have a internet add-on though

i put my sim card in and it read it and found a three 3g network but it wouldn't dial out as all the dial settings are for the vodafone dongle, so i'm gunna try and find the three software so i can install it and try it that way.

is it not slower using your mobile??

As three phones are all at least 3g its decent enough for use to do web browsing when ive used mine and you get Hdspa supported on certain phones aswell so you should be able as quick as a dongle id thought tbh
