View Full Version : Toyota auris need help to identify resistor

Tried various thinners to remove clear coat over the eeprom. What are you using? Since clear coat didn't fully dissolve eeprom was stuck on PCB.
Struggle to desolder eeprom and destroyed one pad and near resistor. I just can't read anymore what was the value of resistor, markings are gone and maybe resistor is destroyed.
If anybody has identical airbag ecu can tell me markings on that resistor, I measured 10Kohm on the one I suspect faulty, I hope I'm right....
I pointed the needle where resistor should be.

Yep .... It's 10kohm.
Just in case anyone ~~~~s up like me ��
Also bought the strongest nitro thinner the paint shop had available, will try it soon.

I'm not sure it's the coating causing issues. It could be a reworked ECU from the factory itself. They sometimes use some glue to hold the chip before soldering. Try a drop or two of acetone. They could have used super glue
