Hey everyone,
I’ve been struggling with a cluster (tachometer) swap on my Polo 9N, which uses a Simos 9.1 ECU. After multiple attempts to get everything working correctly, I’m looking for a reliable IMMO off solution.
I’ve attached my ECU read file in the hope that someone here can help me remove or disable the immobilizer. The cluster replacement has caused a lot of headaches, and I’d really appreciate any advice or assistance on how to make this work smoothly.
If anyone has experience with Simos 9.1 or has done something similar on a Polo 9N before, please let me know. Any recommendations, software tools, or even direct file modifications to get IMMO off would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks in advance for your support!
Best regards
Thanks
PS. Read with Kess V2

I've been trying for several days to read the PIN from the old cluster. I purchased both an Iprog and a UPA-USB adapter, but unfortunately, I'm still unable to read it. Any further guidance would be greatly appreciated!
The Cluster is a Magneti Marelli
so I´m struggling with it

Hi everyone,
First of all, thanks a lot for all your help so far – I really appreciate the support from this great community.
Good news: I finally managed to read the EEPROM using UPA-USB! 🎉
I feel a bit dumb now for trying all this time with iProg – lesson learned the hard way 😅
Anyway, I’ve attached 4 files to this post – two reads each from the old and the new cluster (just to be sure, I read each one twice).
If someone could please help me extract the PINs from these files, I’d be super grateful!
Thanks again in advance 🙏
Cheers!
