Hello.
BMW E60 EDC16C31 160kW.
Old ecu is dead, put new ecu in and wrote the original file from old ecu, but shows 4A62 EWS Manipulation fault code.
Tried using INPA to synchronize, but car still cranking, no start.
Using Mike's BMW Easy Tools.
Messages I got from INPA:
Wrong start value when resetting (EWS and DDE do not match)
Will appreciate any advice.

Did you also copy the eeprom from the old ecu to the new ecu?

No, couldn't seem to get the old ecu to open, because didn't wanna break it, it's melted to the metal.
Is it possible to do immo off, from OBD file?

You need to copy the EEPROM over, most tools can do it in bench mode. Clone KTAG will easily do it in BDM.
If you have already got a replacement ECU then just open the old one and read it.
Or remove EEPROM and solder to new ECU.
Lots of possibilities

Would KTAG clone be possible to do it through the connector, if so could you please give me how to wire?
Because the old ecu, is melted and sticking to the metal and could break.
Also would opening new ecu, and reading eeprom, could disable this system so that I can start the car?

You can do immo off on the new ecu but you need full flash.
I think you are going about this the wrong way though, open the old ECU and read it in BDM with KTAG. Dont worry about breaking the ECU.
Read the old files and write them to the new ecu and do EWS CAS sync.
Here is a video on what to do.
If you don't feel confident then find someone local to you to do this, Its very easy

Okay, thank you I will try it.
I need to read only EEPROM from old ecu and then open new ecu and write the OLD EEPROM file, yes?

Solved. Thank you for all the help.
I wrote by ktag EEPROM from bricked ecu to new ecu. And synchronized.
