i'm doing an engine swap from the donor car mondeo into another car and don't want to use the entire wiring loom if possible.
i wish to use the ecu standalone without the keyless module from the mondeo so i assume i would need to turn the immo off on the ecu? the only connection i see on the wiring diagram between the ecu and the keyless module is via canbus, so i'm assuming the keyless module tells the ecu it's safe to start via the canbus? or am i wrong and immo off isn't even needed?
