I'm a complete newbie so please bear with me. I have called SKY and they sold me a Freesat card which fits nicely into my TN-5300D+. I really want to get Fiver and FiveUSA channels which I used to get using the same card in a Sky box. I have downloaded the latest patches from here which certainly gets the TN-5300D+ to at least recognise the card which the standard Technomate software doesn't, but I still can't get these channels or DAVE which is also supposed to be a Freeview channel. Is there any way to do this or am I wasting my time and should just revert to using a SKY box?

Thanks in anticipation.

Freeview and freesat are different.
Dave is a freeview channel, not freesat.

why dont you just get yourself a freeview box then you can have all your channels.

Good question. Is that the only solution? I kind of like the TM-5300+ Super because it ets me hang a high density USB disk onto it for recording, but I can't find a SKY box that does that.

you can get a freeview box with a hard drive for recording.

Yes I know, but I also have my entire CD collection on MP3 channeled into my B&O stereo from the TM-5300+. It really is a very functional box. It just can't get FiveUSA and Fiver by any means I can find.

Fiver and Five USA are only available via sky card. Is your sky card blue or white?

The Sky card is blue on one side and white on the other. the blue side has a little yellow house on it.

I got the new white card from SKY and it was exactly the same. I returned it and it was ?25 not ?20 any more.
