Currently have an FZ6R with the exact same cluster. I was wondering if there is a way to read and write this EEPROM from the back of the board without desoldering the LCD display? I see the one side of the SOIC-8 and clearly defined pads on the back of the board but the other side I didn't see anything. How many wires are actually needed to program a 93cxx serial eeprom?

Can you pin out the eeprom while you have it apart ? then make a picture

2009 Yamaha FZ6R - USA model ( XJ6 Diversion - Europe should be the same )

pin 5 & 8 remain the same, however 1-4 are exact opposite of what is pictured above

1 -> 4
2 -> 3
3 -> 2
4 -> 1

Hi. I want to read eeprom it is pointed in first photo?
Its enough to connect only 6 pins to read eeprom from pcb not removing lcd? Like in picture.
