Hi Fiends
have here a chevrolet corvette year 99 with lost keys.I have bought a original spare key but need to learn it(key based on resistor,no transponder)
need to know procedure for learn new key;i have tech2 with US cars software!

Using a Tech 2, select New BCM Setup and program the BCM with the correct RPO code configuration.

Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF for 11 minutes.

Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.

Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF for 11 minutes.

Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.

Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF for 11 minutes or until DTC P1630 sets.

Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.

Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF and wait 30 seconds.

This is actually the key learning procedure. But: you?ll need special tools, apart from tech2.

Never played with a VATS system before but there may be something of interest for you here.

Hi friends
First Thank you verry much for your help.
In my car i have folow 2 problems:
1.engine ecu was replaced with another ecu ,same,second/hand(used in another car)
original ecu is lost and any chance for clone is lost.
2.orig key is broken(resistor its ok) and customer ordered new one.
Engine start for few seconds then stop!
Please give me step by step for fix this problem!

First, the ECM (engine ECU) needs to be programmed. You need both the Tech2 AND access to TIS, either online or DVD based. Don't even worry about the VATS until you get the ECM programmed.

Hello friends!
I try first solution(11 min,30sec........)but without succesfull!in engine ecu i have stored P1630,engine start then cut off!

I have tech2 but Tis for americans cars i dont have,I have tis for opel cars only(I live in europe)
can help me with link for download Tis For americans cars?
