Audi A4 - 2004 mileage, tacho universal OBD?

Hi all

Got a 2004 A4 to do this morning. Anyone done this diagnostic with tacho universal? Is it safe to try it with the tacho universal? Heard a few stories of dash going to 999999 after programming.

999.999 is for Magneti Marelli dashboard with checksum.
Audi A4 2004 is RB4 Crypto. Tachouniversal don't know this.

Cheers for the info. After posting my question I looked through tacho again and realised that obd was not an option. Took dash apart and did it with my cdh. Now all is well !! Thanks

Have to agree there. Very stable, just a shame that there isn't more diag on it.
