Hi
I have desoldered and taken hex dump from "L56R" 93C56. ( 8bit )
My speedometer can show both kilometers and miles.
I'm trying to fix both km and miles ( if they are even in separeted areas in memory )

Problem is that i'm not sure if my programmer works correctly.
Real kilometers are 32362
Real miles are 20236

Tachosoft says that 32362km = 07E6F819
But at the hex dump there is at line 80 and 90: 0F0FF0F0 = 61680km?
Where is the problem?

And is the line C0 and D0 for miles?

Thanks for this tip, I tried to read it without 7 and got same results, then without 7 and 6 and still same results.
My programmer is probably broken... ( few weeks ago it got short circuit, one transistor smoked and I changed it but I guess I need to buy new programmer...)

i got your pm, as soon as i get to the office i'll send you the dump.

i use x-prog, the pin story applys to that one.

you can also read it with diga, then take the chip off and use port 0

Hi, I think that is 2006 - 2007 or 2008 speedo.

2004 - 2005 speedo looks like this:

I bought new programmer, and got same results with that.
Problem was that I tried to read the chip as 8bit but it was 16bit. And the hex values are swapped.
Lets see if i can get it work... or broken :D
