accord 05 mileage

Hi guys,

Can enyone shed some light on the mileage location in 05 Accord please? My mate at Honda says the ECU holds the record of the mileage too. Is this going to be the case as with say E39 where the corrected mileage of the odo reverts back after detecting higher value in other modules? Or is it going to stay corrected but the difference will be detected in Honda garage? Is there a way of manipulating the value stored in the ECU?

so the dash will show the new value. How about taking the car to a dealer? Will the oem diagnostic tool pick up the adjustment (based on the original ECU value)?

If its petrol m8, which i think it is.......Then No_ the dealear will not pick it up!!!!

sorry,shoul'd have stated this earlier, it's 2.2 diesel. Is the mileage dealt with differenlty by diesel ecu then?
