Hi

I'm trying to sync a file from my MS Access to Excel to my phone.

Without going into it too much I can do what is require other than 1 step.

The way I have it set up is that when my Excel file is opened it updates itself to sync with a table within MS access.

However what I would like to do is set something that opens that excel file once an hour. I am sure it would be possible, but don't know how to go about it.

I'm running Win7 64bit

Thanks in advance

EDIT: What would suit me better was if I could open the file each hour of the day

Use scheduled tasks

I found 1 for xp but the ideas are the same

Thanx for that.

However there is a slight problem.

The excel file is directly linked to a table inside MS Access.

It is possible in the settings from within Excel that every time the file is opened (using Schedule Tasks as you suggest) that the file is updated.

I actually need the file to be saved/closed as well. I don't think Schedule Tasks does this as it seems to only start a program, send an email, or display a message.

You may need to create some kind of macro to enable that, it would record what you do. Then save the file, add that then to scheduled tasks maybe?

Been years since i have messed about with anything like this but i think something like that should do it
