I would leave this one to the dealer.
There's a problem with the clutch.

hi thanks. i was thinking it was the ecu clutch actuator. wondered if there was a quick fix as you can get it tested and repaired for ?200. i have tech 2 to so programing is not a problem.
thanks

Think I recall something about the motors they use on the easytronic selection part playing up on them?

are you check clutch actuator Position on pedal

You should disassemble easytronic clutch actuator motor and change carbon brushes. It's the main fault that gives p1607.

Hi
I agree with this post there is a O ring on the Motor which worn out and cause oil to get in there hence motor failure.
Remove those motors and check the carbon brushes replace them if needed and clean it properly.
Hope This Helps.

Not exactly. The select and shift motors give another error. "Clutch actuator Position Control Error" is about motor in easytronic contol unit.
You can test it with Tech2 Clutch test. If this motor doesn't move, the problem is in this motor or in transistors in easytronic ecu.

Very helpfull info Guys, i am doing one for my freinds daughter with same fault P1607 clutch position cont error. In live data clutch position is only at 1.90 mm and doing clutch test i can't here the motor move.
I am suspecting the carbon brushes but where are you guys buying the brushes from ???
Thanks

Also if the slave cylinder in the gearbox is stuck the electric motor cannot move the clutch like ecu demands -> p1607. But this is easy to test by turning the screw ontop of the clutch actuator unit, with this screw you can engage/disengage the clutch.:bike:

Hi
Glad you have sorted.
But, did you even change the Oil Seal on Motor Shaft as you must have seen oil in the motor when you dismantled the motor.
