Hi, i have a starview 1 not sure if original or clone ( i think it's original) I have had it for about 2/3 years and have had no problem other than the usual re-scan and software. recently it started to cut out and reset itself after about 5minutes of being turned on. It now is impossible to watch and i need some advise as to the problem?
Thanks for reading my threadnote:

p.s.
i have posted this thread before only someone has posted a reply that has no relavance to my problem so i cancell that thread

Sounds like one of your capacitors on your powerboard is gone, if your skillfull enough then u can replace the caps yourself, C11 caps is a known cap to have fault, but u need to test properly. This is teh cheapest option but you need to know what your doing.

If your like me a novice then buy a new power board off ebay and change the powerboard. Powerboard for starview 1 should be readily avail ?15-20 approx

i would agree. if your not sure then buy a board, but if your handy with your hands replace the caps

Thanks for the advice. I have tried to find a power board on ebay for a sv 1 only there only appears to be boards for 2,3,4 etc,
I have posted a picture of my power board and wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction to obtain one?
Thanks for helping,
Penderri

Very good point above, you may want to consider sticking on fleebay as it is, some1 will want it, however I am aware virmin having loads of probs switchin some areas to N3 such as birmingham and parts of london. They said by april 2010 the whole of UK will be on N3 its now june and I reckon a little over 40% has switched over to N3. Choice is yours
