hi guys...help needed.

i have a 307 2.0 hdi (2001) and various faults. i have just bought peugeot planet 2000 (ebay) software 23.14 i think..

i need to reset the eloys counters and do a regen but i cant seem to do this? . i have reset the counters to zero in ecu - particulate filter...BUT when i check the fluid amount in the measurement section - the fluid reads 1g ??

i can the force a regen but no filth comes out of the exhaust it just revs at 4000 rpm for a few mins then 3000 rpm...

other faults also..

Diesel low pressure (cant remember the code but i will look)
esr/ abs fault (left rear/ right rear)
anti pollution fault

engine management light on and car in limp mode.....

any help?

Also... in the section PEF maintenance , it asks for model = 307, engine = RHS, Gearbox = ??? what do i type in there?? it needs 3 digits??

cheers

So:
Your request is quite complex, let's go slowly.

1 If ECU does not have a trick that high pressure FAP, no need to force the regeneration, is a dangerous operation for engine health and owner. Any in FAP parameters measures the pressure of the filter is not too high (3000 rpm <150 mb).

2 resetting counters Cerina if you do not add liquid or replace FAP is useless, even harmful because it busts the calculations of the ECU on the next regeneration.

3 If your problem is the machine has not power is not the fault of the FAP, but the fuel pressure regulation as is stored in ECU.

Digits for Gearbox are : BVM Manual and BVA Auto

hello,

you answer is a little difficult to understand but as for the eloys fluid, the tank is over half full and the millibars for input/output is 25 for the fap filter, so it isnt blocked but im getting the antipollution fault reading and the ecu says i have 1g of fluid for some reason.

Peugeot main dealer forced a regen a couple of years ago which cleared the error then but now my car is on limp mode and will not rev above 2700 rpm and i get the filter blocked error on the dash.

i would of expected the FAP to be full of soot and blocked but the millibar reading shows that it is clear? unless a sensor is faulty for the millibar reading?

thank you for the gearbox codes, i will have a look later and see what settings are hidden in the PEF maint section..

am i correct that to reset the fluid, both counters should be zero , in the ECU ?

In my reply I meant that Eolys counters are reset when you change the FAP and / or fill the tank Eolys. In fact there are two counters:
1 Eolys deposited in FAP.
2 Eolys injected into the fuel tank.
Both counters are used to make theoretical calculations to the ECU engine:

_With the first counter can calculate the age of FAP (resets when you change the FAP)

_With the second counter when the ECU calculates the Eolys is almost finished (there is a float tank Cerina!) resets when you fill the tank.

These quantities are expressed in grams (if you want the liters must multiply gram x 0.2)
If you resets without a proper justification of the unit will miscalculations (I hope I explained).
NB: counters are Eolycos ECU and engine ECU FAP (if fitted)
Now to solve your problem (engine limp mode), we must understand whether the problem is really the FAP, I do not think because you have a pressure of 25mbar to 3000giri only and have no failures relating to overpressure FAP. You have a fault "Diesel Low pressure" which is serious if the circuit high pressure diesel (common rail) and he is the cause of Limp mode.

hello,

i agree that the fault seems to be with the fuel pressure rail or sensor and i will be looking at that tomorrow. im hoping that this will allow me to remove the engine MIL light and remove all the fault codes. As for the eloys fluid level reading 0g im unsure why this would be...

but first thing is to sort out the pressure fault, if i knew what the reading should be on the fuel rail , peugeot planet can give me a reading but i have nothing to compare it to, so i dont know if the sensor is faulty or if there is a real fault somewhere?

Is difficult for the sensor fault,in parameters measures have the desired theoretical pressure from the ECU and the actual pressure measured. I think the problem is the pressure adjustment, then the controller (if the HP pump is Bosch's replacement) otherwise the problem is the High Pressure pump.
First thing to change fuel filter and check that works with electric pump in the tank right pressure (with pressure gauge) at least 3 bar, because if you miss the first HP pump is not the fault of it !!

Hi Mjnurney,

Also to add Cars post you got to check if the Fuel Cap Sensor is good, if BSI don't see the Fuel Cap Open and Close it will not let you reset your counter to 0.

Hope This Helps

hello,

yes the fuel cap is detected and seems okay
