Will a Belkin wireless G USB device plugged to my desktop PC work on a Belkin N router

Wireless N Standard Speed = 144Mb/s
Internet Provider Speed = X Mb/s

A Wireless G adapter WILL work with a wireless N router though, but will work at G speeds.

if surfing internet, it will base on X Mb/s only
