i think even the ex dealers have to obtain the eka via e mail .but if you have the log book go to the ex dealer they can get the code and email or text you the cars eka, radio ,and key no .it costs me about 12 quid ..hope this helps

These codes can be read using a t300 from your vehicle diagnostic port they can also be changed so getting it from a database not a good idea. Check boot wiring if you have a 200 or 25 as when opening and closing boot wires short out also test remote on a rf tester . Rover remotes are prone to failure i

I have a t300 anda super mvp, both where bought from ecutool.com. you don't get the rover lead included . I got mine from t300cables.com. think the guy was called terry. The difference between the two machines is build quality being the super mvp far better as both run same software. If your using it for business get the super mvp

Testbook & T4 can read kac codes, most new MGTF dealers have them, few of the old Rover dealers still have them.

you should be able to covert a lead to work with the t300 easy, you just need the date lines on pin 1 & 3 of the dlc .

you can also extract the eka code from your chassis number, its the 10th 11th 12th 13th or 11th 12th 13th 14th digits.

you can also decode the ecu so it does not need the signal from the 5'as depending on the ecu MKC ???? if you handy with a programmer.
