EWS 3 and X-PROG

Hi guys i,m trying to read ews 3 with xprog-m 4.5, pin outs exactly as described, but getting time out error. Using 15v adapter as well, also tried with HC11 (OD46J), no joy. Any pointers?? Cheers

Try to do with the onboard programming.

If you using on-board programming interface you must set oscilator to 5529600Hz

Hi yep i,ve tried that to, read nearly all the posts on dk before i tried reading the hc11, so i,m pretty stumped.

i think he wants 2 know via the k-line method

yep by k-line, but having no joy. just keep getting a flashing green light, with hc11 i get error timed out.

maybe if you slow down he vid, you mite see a setting that you havnt done

also are u using the rev. e diagram???

Thanks i had the mcu mod line on the wrong pin, just read it and all ok. You know when you look and concentrate so much you actually miss the thing your doing wrong. Thanks guys
