E36 Dash

Hi,

I changed km in eeprom 93c46 from 93,000 to 130,000km on '98 BMW 328i (E36).

But every time I plug the dash in and perform test function "9" to get rid of the manipulation dot, the kms change back to the value stored in the plug (93,000km).

Is there anyway to change the contents of the plug?

Yes, there is an Dil8 93c46 inside the plug, just edit the km the same way and the dot is gone.

Perfect, the plug was defective. I got a used one, programmed it and all worked out perfect!!
