hi,the son in law strapped his surf board onto the roof of my freelander,now its partly ~~~~ed,it opens but wont slide back,it seems to be stuck at one corner,i dont like messing about with things like these i just make them worse:fisheye:,is it totaly knacked or dya think it could be sorted.i live in the lanarkshire area so if anyone knows of a place that deals with these it would be really appreciated thanks in advance

take the motor down very easy job a few screws then slide the roof back manualy then replace motor job done about 10 mins work

WHAT! You have obsasaly (new spelling) spent TWO days pissing around with one of these, doing the hockey kokey, in/out in/out.

VERY difficult to explain
Right what you have two of these and they break

Ok, so remove the motor, then remove the glass (4 screws), the above piccy where it says 'mounts'

then you need to have a proper look, but you will see a broken bit
you need to slide this with a screwdriver shut, same on other side, put glass in (get somebody to sit on it) screws in, put motor on ebay, ~~~~ it off.

?64+vat for EACH repair side, forget it, don't bother, it will come back two days later with a whistle.

if you insist, just get the wholw lot from the scrap yard
