Hello ,

I am having some trouble with an Audi 2.5 TDI V6 automatic gearbox from 1999. After changing the rotary pump the car works horribly ,barely starts, bad idle, lots of smoke , needs very high revs (3000-4000) to get moving.

No fault codes on VDCS.

Can anyone help me with an adaptation procedure for VDCS or other suggestions ?

Thanks !

The pump should be correctly fitted. Can you give more detail about the measuring blocks ?

Thanks.

Just look at the label file for the open controller all the MB's are listed in there

look for MAF value in channel 3, then turbo in channel 11. in full load.

presuming the new pump is ok and static timing of the belt is fine
then i would suspect the pump timing to be out

this "dynamic timing" can be carried out using VCDS and must be done when a pump or belt is replaced, just pegging the pulleys etc isnt enough

you will need to use the tdi graph function on VCDS and ajust accordingly

yes, you must rotate the pump the correct degrees left or right, and watch in the engine/04 the timing.
also its possibile the changed pump to be damaged if was not new.

vag com doesnt know to test the pump inside, like Inpa-dis for BMW ( vp44 2.0D engines ) ... here vagcom its a toy...
You can check using VAS maybe.

Bmw diag sw can test lots of parts inside bosch pumps , thats helpfull.

if you have full VCDS,there are an plugin:TDIgraph.Engine temp.idle min.85 grad, choose the type of engine and you will see if the timing are corect or not.I guess timing is not correct or faulty pump.Hope it wil usefull.

Did you compare the hardware partnumbers of the old pump and the new one?
