I am trying to fit a replacement MP5.2 to my 1997 Citroen Xantia which is non-multiplexed and does not have an immobiliser fitted.

The replacement ECU that is exactly the same part number, gives me a K light but will not engage injectors when I crank the engine. I presume it is waiting for an immobiliser communication.

I thought if I could read the code from my original and flash that to the replacement then it should go.

Does anyone know if there is a software way to peform this operation rather than unsoldering the 28F512 chips then reading and reflashing the replacement ECUs chip on a device programmer?

Cheers,

Ken

If you are not clear: Go to the IC eeprom 93S46

Thanks for the clue on the 93s46 - a separate eeprom for the immo. You sent me on a immo quest with that suggestion. I have successfully got the replacement ECU to work by swopping the 93s46 chip from the old one to the replacement one. I managed to make a bin file on the way across and have ordered a new M93c46 so I can make a copy.
