Recoding Gateway on MK5 Golf to fit RCD510 head unit

Does anybody know how to recode the gateway using Vag-com? Im trying to replace an RCD 300 with a 510 and have had to replace the gateway unit to stop battery draining.

i have the same issue with my RCD510. battery draining overnight. do you solved yours?
from what i read over internet i see that am software update is necesarly to do, not recoding.

Software or replace to 1K0..... 530Q or higher for example 7N0 ... designed for 1K/1T platform

If you 1K is L or Q it can be update to AD only due to HW limit
But 1K.... AD have no battery drain problem with RNS 510

mine is 1K0 907 530H, and the radio is RCD510 made by DELPHI.
cand you please give me the 1K0 907 530 AD software to upgrade?

Did you read what I said ? You need a gateway min L, Q to make upgrade.

if i will install 7N0 907 530 from passat, i have to recode it with the same long coding value as is now on my 1K0 ?

so i find one 1K0 907 530 AA from Golf VI year 2009. it needs update or shoul work as it is?

You no need update. Version Q or later was factory made with RNS 510. Also never heard that RCD 510 has a problem with battery drain.
